Concours Mondial de Bruxelles
The CMB is split in 4 different sessions so that each type of wine can be judged professionally depending on their specific characteristics.
A global benchmark for wine competitions
Founded in 1974, the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is acknowledged as a world reference for wine competitions. Its independence, stringent standards and tasting procedures offer reassurance for consumers, enabling them to buy medal-winning wines with complete confidence. Its main objectives are as follows:
• offering a quality guide to consumers around the world;
• delivering CMB medals that are opening the way to new international markets;
• promoting the wine heritage of each of its host countries;
• adding tangible and useful direct marketing value by producing a full description of every product tasted (irrespective of medal status) and an Aroma Wheel at the end of the competition;
• to promote, market and sell the awarded wines. A Wine Experience by CMB is also being developed with the opening of Wine Bars and Wine Corners in cities and airports around the world.
More than just a wine competition
Identifying the best wines, offering a quality guide to consumers around the world and promoting the wine heritage: these are the objectives of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
